Tune of the Day: Holocene ~ Bon Iver
And at once I knew I was not magnificent
Strayed above the highway aisle
Jagged vacance, thick with ice
And I could see for miles, miles, miles…

New Artist + Indian Tune of the week: Aaj jaane ki zid na karo ~ Shankar Tucker ft. Rohini Ravada
Originally sung by Farida Khanum, Shankar Tucker has taken this timeless Ghazal and with Rohini Ravada’s soulful vocals, and his amazing clarinet pieces done the song absolute justice. And the lyrics, though I had to use Google to fully understand the meaning were written by Faiyyaz Hashmi. Just absolutely beautiful poetry….I wish I could put into words the feelings this song induces. Just listen…. Aaaj jaane ki zid na karo.
Tune of the Day: Ghost ~ Ingrid Michaelson
I’m an invisible disaster
I keep trying to walk but my feet don’t find the solid ground
It’s like living in a bad dream
I keep trying to scream but my tongue has finally lost its sound
I’ve got to say goodbye
To the pieces of me that have already died
I don’t cry
I don’t try anymore
New Artist of the week: Kate McGill
Coz if the Love’s not worth the hurt,
I don’t wanna live here on this earth, with you,
sometimes I’m just where I need to be…
sometimes I’m looking too closely
Sometimes I’m just where I need to be…
but I’m never sitting comfortably.
